Ink Question

My friend emailed me this question and I thought this was a great place to get an answer. Here it is:

what kind of ink do I stamp with if I
1. don't want it to run if I apply color to the image?
2. don't want to heat set it?
I want to stamp an image on white cardstock with black ink. Then I want to color it in with inks.

So what do you say Stampers?

    Ranger Archival ink in Jet Black ... works for me every time!

    Ranger Archival, Stazon, Memories, Ancient Page. First two are probably the most available.

    I agree with Julia! You can also use Memento ink.
